Mother Daughter Quilt

My daughter an I made this quilt for one of her best friends baby in 2006. At that time my daughter was living in Arizon and I was living in Colorado. Separately she made the green pinwheels and I made the blocks with the multicolored squares. Then we got together, assembled the quilt, picked out the border and the backing and put the quilt together on a long weekend I spent with her in Arizona.

My daugther did the quilting and finished with the binding.

Then she added the final touch of the signature block:
We finished this before the baby was born so we didn't have a name

It was a great project to do "together" even though we weren't in the same state at the time.
